People keep asking: 'I have a laptop and internet — can I start?'
I say: What's stopping you?
You don't need capital. You need a laptop (even an old one), internet, and the will to begin. That's it.
Here's the step-by-step process:
1. Pick ONE niche
You can't be everything at once. Choose:
- Programming
- Translation
- SEO
- Design
- Content writing
- Automation (our personal favorite 😉)
2. Create 3 work samples
Even if they're fake projects. Show, don't tell. Clients want to see what you can do.
3. Write a solid profile
Keep it simple. Answer two questions: What do you offer? Why should they hire YOU?
4. Start small
Target $5-$30 projects. Your goal for the first 3 months is NOT money. Your goal is a 5-star review.
5. Deliver early
The strongest free marketing tool. Promise 3 days, deliver in 2. The client will be shocked and come back.
6. Ask for the review
Don't be shy. Happy clients simply don't think about leaving a review unless you ask.
First 6 months will be tough. But every week you learn something new. Every month you level up. The key is consistency.
